Day 28: Misc

Today, I mostly just wanted to do a bunch of little things. Most of it wasn't even worth photographing - like buying the new Weiss Schwarz set that just came out for Yuru Camp.

I also ended up going back to Tokyo Tower while I was in the area, mainly to see if there were any new collabs going on. There were a couple for properties I didn't know. The Monogatari/Steins;Gate collab I went to 3 WEEKS AGO (???? HOW) was still ongoing. I think it was originally going to end earlier but got extended for some reason? Maybe they had more stock than expected or the next collab bailed? Either way, it meant there was no new merch for me to buy. All things considered, maybe that's actually a good thing?

Outside they were setting up a miniature Tokyo Tower under real Tokyo Tower, I think it's a sort of Christmas tree stand-in? I really should have made it over here during the nighttime

While I was in the area, I stopped at Hoshuin Temple to get one of their goshuin. I had seen this post on Reddit about some of the coolest goshuin you could get and Hoshuin was on the list. Be sure to check out their Instagram to see all the designs they have (although most are sold only for small periods of time!).

I also stopped by Sofmap's Animega store to check out the Frieren x Irasutoya collab. I didn't even know Irasutoya did collabs but I really like their art style so it was a welcome surprise to me when I had found out!

Although the collab had only started 2 days ago, they had already sold out of the big acrylic stands, cushions, and probably a few of the other items so I ended up just getting a sticker pack.

The same shop was also having a Steins;Gate collab as well. I don't know how but is the show only getting more popular all these years later?

One other cool thing was that Akihabara had Pedestrian Zone in effect, meaning the main street was closed to traffic so pedestrians can just cross (or hang out in) the street as they like. Honestly super convenient if you're shopping, but probably really annoying for the drivers. I don't drive though, so I liked it!
